Hogsmill 5

Hogsmill 5

The “Hogsmill 5” is a friendly ladies-only running race over 5 miles (8 km), organised each year by the Epsom Allsorts ladies running club. With no cut-off time it’s a perfect target for absolute beginners, and enjoyed by established runners too. The race is mostly flat, with start and finish at the Harrier Centre athletics track in West Ewell, and running through the Hogsmill local nature reserve behind.

There are also children’s races over various distances on the athletics track on the day, before the main event.

Results

Finish times will be published on this site shortly after the race.

The race is not chip timed. However, we are hoping to have barcode timing (similar to Parkrun) in place for this year. No promises yet, but we're working on it!

Route

The 2017 race will follow a similar route to the last few years, but with some improvements based on runner feedback.

The 5-mile route is largely flat and explores the picturesque parkland in the Hogsmill Local Nature Reserve.

Starting on the Harrier Centre athletics track, the route then heads down adjacent residential streets before cutting into the Hogsmill reserve and running through the parkland behind the Harrier Centre. After passing Ewell Court House and the duck pond, the route continues through the nature reserve towards Ruxley Lane, through local residential areas and then continues around the parkland before finishing on the athletics track.

Water will be provided in cups at approximately 2.5 miles (4 km).

Race HQ

The race starts and finishes at the Harrier Centre in West Ewell. Toilets and changing facilities are available on site.

Runners will collect their race numbers on the day. Please arrive by 9:15am.
