Statement regarding Coronovirus (COVID 19) and our race

15 March 2020

The Hogsmill5 Race Committee are monitoring the outbreak closely and the advice from the Government, the World Health Organisation and England Athletics.

At the present time we are working towards our race date of 31 May 2020. With 11 weeks to go until race day, the world situation and government advice changing rapidly we will keep this decision under review.

As a local race organised by the Allsorts, thank you for your support and understanding during these unprecedented times.

We wish everyone well and will provide updates on here and our social media platforms. If the position changes all entrants will be emailed.

Our Hogsmill 5 race for 2020 is coming to you on May 31st!

Our ever popular Hogsmill 5 is now confirmed for 10.30am start from the Harrier Centre on 31st May. Entries are £16 affiliated and £18 for non-affilated runners!

The “Hogsmill 5” is a friendly ladies-only running race over 5 miles (8 km), organised each year by us, the Epsom Allsorts ladies running club. With no cut-off time it’s a perfect target for beginners, and enjoyed by established runners too.  All finishers will receive a medal. The race is mostly flat, with start and finish at the Harrier Centre athletics track in West Ewell, and runs through the Hogsmill local nature reserve.

We aim to be as inclusive as we can so please get in touch with us at race@epsomallsorts.org.uk to discuss any queries you may have.  We also welcome anyone who would like to volunteer on race day.  There is a free brew and cake in it for you!!  We can never have enough volunteers please do contact the race email above for more details.

We also hold a children’s race over various distances on the athletics track, before the main event providing fun for all.

We care about our environment! This year we are looking at ways of being more eco friendly with a focus on reducing the impact we all have on our environment as much as we can.  We are encoraging as many runners as possible to bring your own water bottles and use the water fountain at race HQ to fill up before the race.  Thank you.

This year our cake sale will be in support of                                       . We encourage runners with portable hot drink containers to bring their own to reduce our impact on the environment. Thank you.

Please note:

Minimum age for entry is 16.
In order to ensure your safety on our course and other road users, in ear headphones are not permitted, bone conduction headsets may be used.
